Most areas invite primitive camping where backpackers can sleep under the stars and or pitch a tent and enjoy the nights around the campfire. Spend days exploring the thousands of acres of preserved habitats and marshlands home to wildlife and waterfowls. Hunters from all over the nation use north central Missouri for hunting turkey and white tail deer, as the area is home to thousands of acres of public and private hunting grounds.
